The Youth Centre Healthy Snack program focuses on providing snack options which will provide energy and nutrition while still providing a tasty treat. Snacks offered include: cheese and crackers, fresh fruit and veggies, salsa served with whole grain tortillas, and bran muffins. The snack offerings are varied from week to week, and youth input is always an important deciding factor when choosing items for the program.

Youth Centre Healthy Snack Program

The Youth Centre Healthy Snack Program was started back in 2008 with a goal of bringing nutritious and delicious snacks to as many youth as possible. Three years later, and thanks to the amazing assistance of all of our dedicated volunteers, the program is still extremely popular and in very high demand.


The healthy snack program is completely funded by donations from partnering community organizations and from generous community members. The funders of this program continue to recognize the importance of the healthy nutrition and active lifestyles as promoted by staff at the youth centres.
