Time To Spare? Time to Share?
If you have a little extra time and have been looking for a way to make a difference in your community, then the Links2Care Youth Programs are the place for you.
Open Door and Off The Wall Youth Centres offer several unique volunteer opportunities and flexible hours which can meet your schedule.
Currently the Links2Care Youth Programs are looking for two different types of volunteers:
These individuals will assist staff in the daily operation of the centres including opening and closing procedures. The experience will provide volunteers an opportunity to build positive relationships with youth participants and support the development of transferable skills which can be used in future volunteer or employment positions. Links2Care also has a variety of other volunteer opportunites including volunteering with children, seniors and adults with disabilites. At this time the Links2Care Backpack Program, a free service providing backpacks and school supplies for low income families - is also recruiting volunteers for various roles. 2) Youth and Student Volunteers
Youth and Students are always welcome and encouraged to complete their high school community service hours at the youth centres. Youth will be supported in helping with a number of operational tasks including snack bar operation and maintenance. Youth volunteers can apply in person at the youth centre, or can contact Amanda, the Youth Program Coordinator at (905) 703-4594 to arrange a meeting.
